Why diets and exercise aren’t the solution

I see it all the time… people eating a ‘healthy’ (my definition differs from the norm) diet and exercising every day but not losing weight! And people getting psyched to start exercising and changing their diet to lose weight but injure themselves or get sick (include thyroid problems and the likes here) and then get stuck in that pattern so that they never actually get to start exercising or change their diet. Then the people losing weight with diet and exercise but are unable to maintain it for a bazillion different reasons.

Excess weight is a symptom! – My story

It wasn’t really that long ago when I ended my war with binge eating, depression, suicidal thoughts and the horrific battle of controlling my weight.

It all started when I was about 16, but I was kinda able to avoid gaining too much weight because I was so active. But after another big binge and an attempt to ‘ride it off’ the next morning, I broke my collar bone. And I feared like you wouldn’t believe, gaining weight.
